Real Talk with Marrita Richardson

August 6, 2016

In this episode, I introduce an experimental format where I have a conversation with a guest in public in front of my own home. It is a symbol of taking the conversations back to the block where we all use to connect with neighbors and talk about issues facing our community.

We are joined by Marrita Richardson, who works in government and looking to make a splash in politics in the near future. It is a "popcorn topic" episode where we bounce around a lot and stumble upon some pretty interesting issues. I won't list them alMarrita Richardson Social Change NJ Podcastl out here but we finish off with this one: How do you talk to white people about racism? We explore how she defines it and how it informs conversations about it with those who might not understand the various interpretations of one of the most impacting words in our society today.

And, to make things interesting as a BONUS, I will be releasing an actual conversation I had with a young white female about racism and an interesting post she shared out of frustration when she got tired of being told, "she wouldn't understand what it is like to face racism in our society".

// NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY GET THIS BONUS CONVO BY SUBSCRIBING ON OUR EMAIL NEWSLETTER AT THE TOP OF OUR WEBSITE www.PanVisio.org! COMING SOON!

Again, a VERY experimental episode so please share and give me your feedback on what you think!
